Today I am delighted to welcome Chase, otherwise known as The Lord of Decor @thelordofdecor_ on Instagram. Chase (age 27) is a collector, lover of interiors, antiques, and all things equestrian. He started the account as a hobby in 2017, and it quickly became an obsession. Chase was raised in the Brandywine Valley where he still resides today. His love for horses and equestrian style began as a child… with early memories of Point to Point at Winterthur with family.
When he’s not gathering images for Instagram, Chase is most likely antiquing, at the auction, or out to dinner with family/ friends. Today he is providing a primer on equestrian style… Welcome Chase!
Equestrian Style by The Lord of Decor
I have always been drawn to a space with worn oriental rugs, books piled high, and riding boots scattered throughout.
A decorating style for some and a lifestyle for others. It goes hand in hand with family, tradition, and craftsmanship. This style looks lived in yet sophisticated, while embodying the equestrian lifestyle from horse racing to fox hunts and everything in between.
Whether you have a quaint country house or an equestrian estate I think we can all agree that this style of decorating is curated and timeless. Listed below are some favorite images and books that showcase the “Equestrian Style”…
Recommended Books:
• Equestrian Life From Riding Houses to Country Estates
• Wellington, The World Of Horses
• The Stylish Life – Equestrian

What a delightful post !! Enjoying his ( very) patrician great taste.
I don’t own a horse but have always loved the “look “ of the manor born horsey decor. Supple leather chairs, antique Persians on polished hardwood floors. I’ll take my tea in the library today, Cheever.
