Today I have the great honor of featuring interior designer Laura Hunt at The Glam Pad. Not only is Laura one of my favorite designers, but she is also a dear friend and role model.Laura Hunt is also featured today over at One Kings Lane! Click here to view her Tastemaker Tag Sale, including an amazing assortment of furniture and accessories ranging from Gustavian to Mid-Century.
Since formally incorporating her business in 2000,Laura has become one of the most successful and accomplished designers in the world, having been named among Architectural Digest’s “AD 100” Best Architects and Interior Designers list every year since 2004.
Before embarking upon a new project, Laura takes time to “live” the home and uncover the true essence of its soul. “I take pride in capturing a client’s personality and reflecting it in every single element within the home, not just décor, but details such as flowers, art, family portraits, china and linens,” she said. Laura also creates a signature logo or monogram for each of her projects, which is used to personalize towels, notepads, pencils, even custom phone books.
Laura has lived on four coasts, and her style tends to gravitate accordingly:Dallas (woodsy, contemporary),Aspen (outdoorsy),NYC (sophisticated, traditional),and the Bahamas (tropical).
Her projects have ranged froom Ted Turner’s “desert lodge” the Armendaris Ranch set on 350,000 acres in New Mexico, to her son’s former Dallas high rise apartment that she decorated on a dime.
